A common argument that occurs in this industry is to what is a 'preferred' vehicle that would be their full time driver. Some will have the ultimates like Porches or Lamborghini, however, I'm more of a realist and those would not be practical enough for me.

But when we talk Volvo and their comfort presentation, those same that highlighted a super car, will reluctantly agree.

So here is the new generation 2017 Volvo XC60 in all its humble offerings. Now, whilst this one is not the entry level being a R-Design which is essentially from it's 'go fast' department. The New looking DZ frontage is far more aggressive but still holds the same quality values the previous generations have been renowned for.

This exact vehicle pleasantly still holds its TWO factory keyless entry Key Fobs, a FULL (of course) service history (like all of my vehicles) albeit from an independent garage for most of its journey, but I would assume to put that down to it was probably the owners shop and then onto my Service and Safety Check and Vehicle Report Card.

As previously highlighted, the R-Design has a standout look about it, the 20 Inch Shadow Chrome Alloys, Chrome moulds in drippings, Twin Exhaust Tips, Red Flashed odometer/ instrument Dials, Front Bar Style lines as far as they can reach, Chrome Paddle Shift Levers and R-Design scuff plates.

The standard features you usually find in Volvo are all still present too, Push Button Start, a Reverse Camera, Satellite Navigation, Front Crash Avoidance technology, All Four door handle Keyless entry buttons, Electric Tailgate, Front Heated Leather and Memory Driver seat and Climate Control.

The important highlight to mention is that I've always found that Volvo Leather is almost like (if not) real Leather with how soft it is. To accompany that quality, the ownership this has had is from an affluent area, and all the tell tale signs of that style of care is evident, both exterior and interior. It really is that clean.

Now for the stats - powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, in differing states of tune – in the T5 here there is 180kW of power (at 5500rpm) and 350Nm of torque (from 1500-4800rpm). With an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and permanent all-wheel drive. It's a peppy engine, and it gets you away from a standstill relatively rapidly or in time value, about 7.2 seconds flat.
