European quality is a favourite here, my consumers always appreciate a finer quality build in motor vehicle. I often make remarks about how much I appreciate a European build quality, the solid sound of the door closing, the way it feels on the road in weight comparison and the features they seem to have years ahead. All points you will agree on once you step into the world of finer things.

A fantastically kept 10 year old vehicle, it still has its TWO keys, a FULL and complete service book, with a range of different mechanics those being Solitaire to start with, a European specialist after that and then an independent garage until it went through my Service and Safety check alongside its Report Card.

Its smart aesthetic exterior in the small Sedan are a nice look, the interior, while reasonably basic does still present a finer quality in terms of feel. It does have small little features along the lines of 'App Connect', Reverse Camera, Steering Wheel controls and Rear Air however.

A zippy 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine is designed to propel a medium car. Paired with the smooth dual clutch DSG transmission, it can duck in and out of traffic, pull away on open roads and putt around metropolitan streets. With 118kW of power produced at 5800rpm, and most importantly 240Nm of torque produced between 1500rpm and 4500rpm, the Jetta 118TSI Trendline feels faster than any car in the class.

The steering is medium weighted and enjoyable to twirl, the multi-link independent rear suspension teams with the front-end to deliver impressively supple but disciplined ride quality (particularly versus the lumpy torsion bar rear-end of the Octavia) and the engine purrs away in the background.

Although ageing, then, the Jetta is still a very sensible, functional and capable small-to-medium sedan. But is it small? Is it medium? Perhaps the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta is just right?
