The Tuscon has come a long way since its inception here in Australia. From what us car enthusiasts use to joke about the looks of, to what they represent now is a far cry. In my truest opinion I actually think this TL model looks sensational.

The third generation TL is arguably (well, certainly in my thought) better than the current facelift model in terms of aesthetics. As mentioned the JM first generation was a bit of an ugly duckling, but that can't be said anymore, and certainly not about Hyundai as a manufacturer either. Over the last decade the leaps and bounds of the Korean car builders has been nothing short of evolutionary.

For a 10 year old vehicle this Tuscon Active X feels and drives like something newer. Perhaps its the ownership this particular has endured but I was extremely happy with my initial inspection. TWO keys sit in comfort next to the FULL owners manuals and service book and a FULL almost all Hyundai Service history is the company in stamps. Not a major attention item was required in my reconditioning process with this one, true compliments to the previous owner.

The Ara Blue paintwork immediately caught my eye, it is a lovely refreshing Blue that not many manufacturers offer in current line ups. The Black leather accented seats have a nice feel, and the standard creature comforts are on offer from a one up from base model entry.

The nice shadow chrome alloys of the Active X set it apart from an entry level, and look more aligned with a higher price tag. Surprisingly or not, the infotainment screen has Apple and Android capabilities, something not always available at this year level, and the running lights up front and the staggered rear taillights are also a nice point of difference to the look.

Interior has seen minimal hard wear, and same can be said about the exterior proving that very cared-for example previously mentioned. I anticipate at this price point it should have some heads turning as we all know this price segment usually doesn’t offer this type of quality.
