About this vehicle
The Volkswagen Amarok brought European engineering discipline to the Australian dual-cab market when it arrived in 2011. The TDI400 variant runs a 2.0L turbocharged diesel producing 132kW and 400Nm, routed through a 6-speed manual transmission and 4MOTION permanent all-wheel drive system with a selectable LOW range transfer case and lockable rear differential. That combination makes it a genuine four-wheel drive work platform, not just a styling exercise.
