Dealer Comments

Looking for a practical SUV with genuine All-Wheel Drive capability, plenty of room and Subaru's reputation for building vehicles made for adventure? This 2012 Subaru Forester X is a great all-round package.

Powered by a 2.5L Boxer petrol engine and paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission with Sportshift, the Forester gives you the higher driving position and practicality of an SUV while still feeling comfortable and easy to drive every day.

But the big advantage is underneath.

Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive gives you power to all four wheels, providing extra confidence on wet roads, gravel, country roads and those weekend trips where the bitumen eventually disappears.

Picture this:

School runs during the week.
Shopping loaded easily into the back.
Camping gear packed Friday afternoon.
Heading up the coast or out into the country for the weekend.
Rain rolls in, roads get slippery — and you've got AWD underneath you.

Why buyers love the Subaru Forester:

2.5L Boxer petrol engine
Automatic transmission with Sportshift
Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive
Excellent ground clearance
Spacious five-seat interior
Large and practical cargo area
Folding rear seats
Higher SUV driving position
Excellent visibility
Cruise control
Air conditioning
Roof rails
Great versatility for everyday and weekend use
Strong reputation as a capable family adventure wagon

The Forester has always been a little different from the typical SUV.

It doesn't just look adventurous — the permanent AWD system and useful ground clearance give you genuine extra capability when you're heading camping, travelling on gravel roads or simply dealing with poor weather.

Perfect for:

Families
Camping and fishing trips
Country living
Weekend adventures
Daily commuting
Dog owners
First SUV buyers
Anyone wanting AWD without driving a huge 4WD

It's big enough to handle family life but still compact enough to be easy around town.

Automatic.
2.5L Boxer.
Symmetrical AWD.
Practical family wagon.

If you're looking for an affordable SUV that's equally comfortable doing the school run or heading away for a weekend adventure, this 2012 Subaru Forester X is definitely worth a look.
