2005 HSV Maloo VZ Maloo
A highly modified example of HSV’s VZ-series performance utility, finished in Impulse Blue and powered by a 6.0-litre petrol V8 paired with a manual transmission. This vehicle is accompanied by HSV Certificate of Authenticity.

This Maloo originally received a crate engine approximately 50,000 km ago, with extensive performance upgrades including L92 Higgins CNC heads, HDT custom camshaft, Pacemaker extractors, X-Force twin 3” stainless exhaust, upgraded fuel system, VCM OTR intake, and M12 6-speed gearbox. The vehicle has also undergone comprehensive mechanical/body & paint due to accident car is not on the WOVR, refurbishment including steering, suspension, differential, electrical system and braking components. Interior was fully restored with new carpet, mats, seat foam, replacement trim, switches and upholstery work. Cosmetic and exterior work includes full respray in Impulse Blue, new tyres and wheels, replacement lighting, new wiper blades, restored bumper and replaced badging.

HSV VZ Maloo Model History
Released in 2004, the VZ Maloo marked one of HSV’s most aggressive interpretations of the Australian performance ute, featuring the 6.0-litre LS2 V8 in its initial years of production. Built on the last of the VZ platform, it combined Commodore-based practicality with HSV’s motorsport-influenced tuning. The VZ Maloo represented a turning point as HSV transitioned to larger displacement, higher-output powertrains, and has since gained recognition as a modern classic within the Australian performance landscape. Today, well-kept and enthusiast-owned examples are highly regarded among collectors seeking high-performance Australian utes.
