Description
Sixty-nine thousand kilometres on a Tommi Makinen Edition is a number that gets attention. The TME was Mitsubishi's top-spec Evo VI, built as a limited homologation special to mark four consecutive WRC world championship titles, and low-mileage examples in any colour are genuinely hard to find at this point in time.
The factory Mitsubishi plate and the Australian compliance plate are both photographed and readable. Chassis code CP9A-0202399 and the SNGF model grade on the factory plate confirm TME specification. The car was complied for Australian roads in December 2008 through Recreational Vehicles Pty Ltd (Approval No. 1009507/022). The 6U9 VIN prefix is standard RAWS compliance format. This is a properly documented, legitimately complied vehicle.
The car retains the correct TME equipment: Recaro seats with Tommi Makinen Edition embroidery, factory MOMO steering wheel, white Enkei alloys, and red Brembo front calipers. Body condition is very good with no visible rust or significant panel damage. There is also an aftermarket boost gauge on the A-pillar and the exhaust tip appears non-standard. This car has seen some performance work and should be inspected and assessed accordingly.
One additional item worth checking on inspection: the hood scoop on this car appears body-coloured blue rather than the standard TME titanium-silver finish.
