Description/extras: Lloyds Classic Car Auctions is proud to present this incredibly rare and highly sought-after 1984 Ford XE Falcon S-Pac, featuring the coveted Stage 2 Mike Vine Turbo package, as part of our August Classic Car Auction.

This vehicle represents a significant chapter in Australian performance car history, where Mike Vine Turbo (MVT) packages were offered as aftermarket performance upgrades fitted prior to first registration and compliance, giving buyers a factory-delivered performance-enhanced Falcon. This particular XE Falcon is confirmed to have received its Stage 2 MVT Turbo package and compliance in July 1984.

Finished in its original Citrus Yellow, this S-Pac example has undergone a professional exterior restoration, returning it to its factory-correct presentation complete with genuine S-Pac striping and decals. The signature MVT bonnet vents remain, functional and true to the car’s heritage.

Inside, the factory tan cloth trim remains untouched, showcasing the original tri-tone brown stripe upholstery front and rear. The interior presents very cleanly, retaining its original style, complete with factory air conditioning and a nostalgic ‘Turbo’ gauge mounted on the steering column. A black rear window venetian blind adds a classic Aussie touch.

Mechanically, this Falcon stands apart. The 4.1L six-cylinder engine has been completely rebuilt by none other than Mike Vine himself, and the car was later returned to him for final tuning and dyno calibration. The engine is equipped with a Garrett T04 turbocharger, external Garrett wastegate, billet turbo camshaft, roller chain kit, sealed power lifters, upgraded ignition system with electronic distributor mapping, forged pistons and Spool rods. It produces a strong 355 rear-wheel horsepower on 16 psi.

Backing the engine is a freshly rebuilt T5 five-speed manual transmission. Power is transferred through a strengthened factory rear end, now upgraded with a True-trac limited-slip centre and 28 spline axles. The suspension has been upgraded with Lovells springs, and the braking system has been completely overhauled, including new calipers, slotted rotors, booster, master cylinder, and lines. A custom stainless-steel exhaust system finishes off the underbody work.

The current owner acquired the vehicle approximately four years ago from Melbourne and undertook the restoration and driveline rebuild during their custodianship. With fewer than 1,000 km driven since the rebuild, this
