Info about this vehicle:

1983 Holden VH Commodore HDT Group 3 Tribute - Red - 90,791km on Chassis - Fully Built 308 V8, Turbo 350, Ford 9-Inch
Four-door sedan. Rear-wheel drive. 5.0-litre V8 petrol. Automatic transmission. Odometer indicating 90,791 kilometres. Seating for five.
Description
Peter Brock's HDT Group 3 VH Commodore is one of the most iconic shapes in Australian motoring history. Only 322 genuine examples were built between 1982 and 1984, which means tributes like this one exist for a simple reason: the real ones are now six-figure cars and climbing. This two-owner VH SS starts with the right bones, a genuine K69 body code (VH Commodore SS V8 sedan), and layers on a comprehensive Group 3 treatment that goes well beyond a sticker kit. Vendor advises the full build was completed approximately 15 years ago and the car has been shed-stored since.
The red paintwork presents with excellent gloss and depth across all panels. Body is straight with no visible dents, rust, or panel misalignment in the photos. The full HDT Group 3 aero kit is fitted and well-integrated: front air dam, bonnet scoop with black stripe, full-length side skirts, and the signature rear boot spoiler with vertical end plates. Black rear window louvres and correct SS Group Three decals with Peter Brock signature script complete the look. Underneath that bodywork sits serious running gear. Vendor advises the engine is a fully built 308 by Baines Performance Engines with a new 750 DP Holley carburettor (fitted 2026, not yet professionally tuned), match-ported Edelbrock Torker inlet manifold, solid Crane cams (CC/272), solid lifters, high-intensity rockers, match-ported Pacemaker headers with twin 2.5-inch pipes, ported and polished heads, and a Group AVN high-energy sump. The engine bay is clean and colour-coded in red with the battery relocated to the boot via an isolator switch. Behind the engine sits a Bruce Cussans-built Turbo 350 with 3,500-stall converter and Stage 2 shift kit, feeding a Steve Hillman-built shortened Ford 9-inch LSD on a 3.9 ratio with one-piece solid tailshaft. Vendor advises under 18,000 kilometres on the engine, transmission, and diff. A dyno sheet in the documentation folder shows approximately 267 horsepower at the engine.
Inside, the cabin is tidy with black cloth bucket seats, a two-tone tan and black dashboard, and aftermarket touches including under-dash Auto Meter oil pressure and water temperature gauges, a large pillar-mounted tachometer, and an aftermarket head unit. The car rolls on Centerline Convo Pro alloys with near-new Bridgestone rubber, Potenza on the rear and Turanza on the front. A substantial collection of spare parts accompanies the sale, including HSV-branded seat covers, a spare steering wheel, MSD ignition components, Holley tuning kit, spare Auto Meter gauge, gas
