Description/extras: The 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is one of the most hyped V8 Fastbacks of all time. This example has been restored at a Classic Muscle car restoration specialist in Melbourne, in 2016.

The restoration overhauled all elements of the car; the driveline components, the engine, the exterior, the interior, the suspension, the braking system, the exhaust system and many tasteful customised additions of the previous owner.
During this restoration process, the shell was stripped bare and mounted on a rotisserie. A full right-hand drive firewall including the windscreen wiper system was welded in, all seams sealed in top quality Wurth products, while the shell itself was stripped to bare metal and resealed in epoxy primer before a coating of paint in Dupont Jet Black.

The exterior modifications include a Boss 429 bonnet scoop, billet grille, colour coded bumpers, re-chromed exterior trim, blacked-out wipers and tinted rear lights. The exterior has been fitted with brand new door trims too. The car sounds fantastic and has a 408 CID 6.7L stroker engine fitted, upgraded with high quality components such as Fast multi point electric fuel injection, digital ignition and a roller camshaft. This engine was built for performance and the fully rebuilt automatic Ford AOD four-speed over drive transmission with a high-stall torque converter. The rebuild included running brand new fuel lines and fitting a new fuel tank. The right hand drive offset collapsible ididit steering column was fitted as part of the restoration and provides additional safety over the original configuration. There full wiring harness on the vehicle has been refurbished and modified where necessary.

The engine bay itself features many notable upgrades including an Edelbrock RPM intake manifold and throttle body, Comp cams street hydraulic roller cam with lifters, Com Cams roller rockers, Hooker ceramic coated extractors, Ford racing rocker covers, Race multicore aluminium radiator with thermos fans, high performance filters and an upgraded hi/lo fuel pump.
Underneath the vehicle shows an Evergreen Ford nine-inch LSD, with 29-spline axles, 3.9 gears for extra reliability and performance, a new tail shaft fully balanced, upgraded front independent coil over suspension system, upgraded coil over rear suspension with a 4-link setup, new rack and pinion power steering, new front and rear disc brakes (including new brake booster/master cylinder with associated brake lines) and a twin 2.5 inch M
