1970 Ford Cortina GT Sedan 1970 Ford Cortina GT four-door sedan finished in Deep Green with GT black side stripes and bonnet treatment. Rear-wheel drive, inline 4-cylinder petrol, 5-speed manual transmission (upgraded from original 4-speed). Odometer indicating 77,999 kilometres. Full GT specification. GT compliance plate (CN29170, April 1970) present. Includes original dealer wallet, owner's manual, service manual, and service record. When car was started, a fuse/wire was smoking. Inspection recommended. Price Guide $18,000 - $28,000. Description / Overview: Ford Cortinas with genuine GT specification and a proper documentation pack are hard to find in this condition. This one ticks the boxes. The GT compliance plate (CN29170, April 1970) is on the firewall, the body stampings are consistent and unmolested, and the original documentation wallet from selling dealer Frank Delandro comes with the car. The service booklet records a 3,000-mile dealer service dated November 1971 at 11,045 miles. That is genuine provenance and it adds real value to any classic buyer. The deep green with black GT stripes and bonnet treatment looks strong and the paint is applied to a good standard throughout. Minilite-style alloy wheels and GT-spec instrumentation with full auxiliary gauges give it the right period stance. The 5-speed manual is an upgrade on the original 4-speed but a welcome one. Interior is clean in black with front buckets and rear bench in solid condition.
