Info about this vehicle:

1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible - Bronze - 5,909 Miles - 383ci V8, 4-Speed Manual, Matching Numbers
1969 Plymouth Road Runner convertible. Left hand drive. 383ci (6.3 litre) V8 petrol. 4-speed manual. Indicating 5,909 miles. 2-door convertible. 5 seats. Sold unregistered.
Description
The 1969 Plymouth Road Runner is one of the most iconic muscle cars ever built. Plymouth stripped a B-body Belvedere to its essentials, dropped in a big block V8, and priced it where young buyers could actually afford one. The result was a sales smash and an instant legend. The convertible version was the rarest body style, with only 2,128 built for 1969 across all engine options. Finding one with the 383ci four-barrel V8 and a 4-speed manual is a genuine piece of Mopar history.
This example presents in striking bronze with a tan leather interior, and the overall condition is very strong for a car of this era. The paint carries excellent gloss and depth across all panels, with consistent colour and no visible evidence of accident repair or crude bodywork. Chrome bumpers, grille surround, headlight bezels, and body trim are all present and in bright, presentable condition. The Road Runner badges sit on both front fenders and the boot lid alongside the "383" designation. Red hood stripes are intact. BFGoodrich Radial T/A tyres sit on chrome rims, and the whole car looks ready for a weekend cruise or a show field. The tan leather interior is in good condition, with the seats, door cards, and dashboard presenting well. Vendor advises minor tears in the roof lining, and there are a couple of small tears visible on the driver's seat bolster. The 4-speed manual shifter with its wood-grain knob sits in the centre console, and the original Plymouth steering wheel is intact. The odometer reads 5,909 miles.
Under the bonnet, the 383ci V8 sits clean and complete, wearing its original Road Runner air cleaner housing with the correct decal. The engine bay is colour-matched bronze and tidy. The engine number plate (RM27H9G245325) decodes correctly as a 1969 Road Runner Convertible with the 383ci engine, which is a strong indicator of matching numbers. The underhood emission sticker confirms the 383 cubic inch displacement. A DCI Performance battery has been fitted as a replacement. Vendor advises the car currently has no brakes and needs a new battery, so factor in some mechanical recommissioning before driving.
Recent auction results for 1969 Road Runner convertibles with the 383/4-speed combination have ranged from US$38,500 to US$55,000 depending on condition. This example, with its strong cosmetic presentation and desirable drivetrain, sits well within that market. A "Classic Car Studio, Tucson, Arizona" plate frame on the rear confirms US provenance.
