1966 FORD MUSTANG HARDTOP - AUTO - LHD - 78,118 MILES SHOWING

This Mustang was delivered new by a Ford dealer in Stockton, California in 1966 and original colour was Ivy Green with Parchment coloured interior trim.

It lived life in Sacramento and was last registered in California in 2010 at approximately 78,000 miles.

Imported into Australia in 2011 with Import Approval # 120789/2.

Purchased as a restoration project in 2016, completed and inspected in 2018. We hold copies of the photos relating to this restoration.

The current South Australian owner purchased the car in 2020 and now presents beautifully in Candy Apple Red metallic (Lexus Barcelona Red 3R3) with Parchment interior.

Powered by a 289ci (4.7Lt) V8 engine, it produced when new 168Kw and 414Nm of power and torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 3 speed Cruise-O-Matic auto transmission. Performance figures suggested at the time 0-100kph in 8.2 secs and a top speed near 200kph.

The current owner advises that the Autolite carburettor was replaced with a Holley 2300 - 350CFM which may alter the above performance figures slightly.

We hold a copy of the original style owner's manual and it's appropriate folder.

The car features a modern Kenwood stereo unit which is conveniently hidden in the glovebox and comes with a remote control for use.

The original AM radio is still in place in the centre of the dash.

Also, a modern feature is the Ford puddle light visible when you open the driver's door.

This vehicle presents very well in it's original style and LHD and would suit a classic car enthusiast, ideal for classic events and cruises.

Eligible for Historic registration in most jurisdictions, this equates to minimal on road costs.

The current SA plates SAL-660 may be available if the car is sold in South Australia.
