Info about this vehicle:

1965 Ford Mustang Fastback – Shelby GT350R GT1 Tribute
An exceptional and uncompromising tribute to one of the most legendary Mustangs ever built. This is a genuine 1965 A-Code Mustang Fastback, finished in White and presenting as a Shelby GT350R GT1–inspired build, showing just 2,701 miles since completion. Built to an extraordinary standard with over USD $90,000 invested in parts alone, this car blends period-correct aesthetics with serious modern race engineering.

Under the bonnet sits a fearsome 393ci stroker Windsor V8 producing approximately 600 horsepower, paired with a heavy-duty Top Loader manual gearbox and a fully engineered driveline. Performance is nothing short of brutal, with a documented 10.3-second quarter mile at 128mph and a 1:15 lap at Wakefield Park in novice hands. Despite its performance credentials, the car remains beautifully finished and highly collectible.

Shelby GT350R & Mustang Fastback Model History
The 1965 Mustang Fastback became the foundation for Carroll Shelby’s legendary GT350 and GT350R race cars, which dominated SCCA competition in the mid-1960s. Purpose-built, lightweight and brutally fast, original GT350R models are now among the most valuable American race cars ever produced, regularly commanding seven-figure prices. This tribute has been constructed with deep respect for the originals, incorporating correct visual cues such as GT1 side scoops ducted to the rear brakes, period wheels and race-focused chassis engineering — while remaining versatile enough for track days, drag racing or display.

Description / Build Highlights
Originally built by a US aircraft engineer in the late 1970s and restored by the same owner in 2005, this Mustang has been engineered with a no-compromise approach throughout. Sold with import approval and original US title, and accompanied by a comprehensive presentation folder containing archived documents and receipts.
