The Australian automotive industry has faced several urgent recalls in the past year. Shop for Cars has put together a list of all the cars that have recently been recalled by their respective manufacturers.
In October 2021, Mercedes issued an urgent recall for over 40,000 cars Australia wide. It was found that the emergency technology is defective and could prose a risk to driver safety in the case of an accident.

Almost 1500 Volvo’s have been placed on the urgent recall list due to reports of driver airbag inflator ruptures in the event of deployment as a result of a crash.

Ford Australia has recalled almost 300 Ford Ranger and Everest units due to a potential fault with a factory-fitted awning.
Ford Australia has also recalled almost 1100 Ford EcoSport SUVs, citing potential fire risks to the hood insulator.

Nissan Australia has recalled almost 1000 Nissan Pathfinders due to power and engine issues. It has been found that the engine may stall resulting in a loss of power during drive.
Nissan Australia has asked any owner of the Nissan Pathfinder SUV manufactured between 2014 and 2020 to contact them at the earliest convenience to book in a free repair.
Mazda Australia has recalled almost 3000 Mazda 6’s and RZ-8 models due to a reported fuel leak.
Please contact your local Mazda Dealer or visit the Mazda website for further instructions on free repair and replacements.
Kia Australia recently recalled 60,000 Kia Stinger and Kia Sportage vehicles over an engine bay fire risk.
Kia also issued a recall for Kia Seltos models as they are not fitted with anti-theft locks despite it being mandatory.

Hyundai Australia has recalled almost 100,000 Hyundai Tucson models over an ABS manufacturing error that could risk potential engine fires.
Hyundai will be contacting all owners of the affected models to book in a repair time. If you are yet to receive a call from Hyundai, please contact your local Hyundai dealer as soon as possible.
Toyota Australia has recalled Hybrid Yaris hatchbacks due to potential power loss while driving.
Owners will be contacted by Toyota to book in a time for a free repair. If you are yet to receive a call from Toyota, please reach out to your local dealer as soon as possible.
Honda Australia has found a faulty pump system that causes vehicles to stall whilst driving. According to Honda, roughly 22,000 cars were affected.
Honda will restore and fix the problem free of charge. Please visit the Honda website to book in a suitable time.
